Start the Donation Process

The minimum donation is $500.00.

If you do not owe any state income tax, there is no benefit in making a donation through ASF.

If the tax credit exceeds your Virginia state tax owed, the credit can be carried forward for up to five years.

1. Apply for Preauthorization of Donation

Download a preauthorization form here:

Fill out the form and send it to ASF by one of the following methods:

• Email: Scan completed form and send it to [email protected]
• Fax: Fax to 434.424.0477
• Mail: Mail to the following address:

2. Make a Donation

ASF will return an Authorization Letter (sample below). The letter approves your donation.

Fill in the requested information on the “Authorization Letter.”

Make check out to Anabaptist Scholarship Foundation of VA.

Download and fill out “Donor-Recommended Contribution” form.

For your records, make a copy of the “Authorization Letter” and the “Donor-Recommended” forms.

Mail your check and originals of the “Authorization Letter” and “Donor-Recommended Contribution” to the following address:

3. Certification of Tax Credit

You will receive a “Certification of Tax Credit” the following January from the Va. Dept of Education.

Give the tax credit certificate to your accountant.
